Artist statement

I am a self taught artist based in Singapore. I had a dream to create artworks to visually delight, communicate with and invoke thoughts in the viewer. I began my journey into art in 2008. Years of practice, pouring over art books, learning about colour theories, depth and perspectives as well as tons of experimenting has helped me build on knowledge and understanding of some of the aspects of art. I have worked on several themes, tried different styles and worked with multiple mediums. I enjoy working with acrylics, oils as well as watercolors and have used painting knives extensively in some of my oil works.

I am currently working on my Fire and Ice series of oil works. The series depicts warm and cool light effects on different subjects.
